Hello, Doer of the word!

*If you’d like to be our podcast guest or volunteer in helping us encourage more people to take action on inspired invitations from prophets and apostles, please reply to this email and let us know.*

Welcome to General Conference+!

GC+ is a highlight reel of messages from the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles they shared anywhere outside of Conference last week. We look at social media, magazines, devotionals, temple dedications, YouTube, press releases, and more to find the latest inspiring and important teachings you won't want to miss.

The Church cross-posts the same content on multiple platforms. We’ll link to only one instance of each resource, usually via Instagram or YouTube, but you can easily find the same thing on Facebook or X, if you prefer.

Find a resource that inspires you and share it with someone. Here we go!

Our Favorites from Last Week

President Holland | Elder Andersen shared this video of President Holland recounting how he was directed in a near-death experience to pray and testify even more than he already was and that we should do the same.

President Eyring | He encouraged consistency in daily family prayer, scripture study, singing hymns, and bearing your testimony often, writing that “young children are often more sensitive to the Spirit than we realize” and while “the Holy Ghost can bring all things to their remembrance, … the words of scriptures and hymns will last the longest. When trials come, those memories will be a source of strength throughout their life.”

President Uchtdorf | Newly set apart as Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve, President Uchtdorf wrote about recognizing your God-given talents and gifts and how to use them to meet Heavenly Father’s high, but fair expectations.

Elder Bednar | Bandages and Blessings: A Story of Loving One Another—adorable story of Elder Bednar’s boys using nearly a full tube of ointment and box of Band-Aids to treat a scratch and how this helps explain why missionaries leave so much behind to share the gospel.

Elder Caussé | Approach the Gospel with Awe and Wonder. In this excellent short excerpt from Elder Caussé’s dedication of a new Logan, UT Institute building, he encouraged us to “let your spiritual learning be driven by a sense of awe and wonder, not doubt. Approach the gospel with the same reverence and joy as does a lover of art who enters a museum—someone who delights in the beauty of the masterpiece and the genius of the artist, rather than focusing on the cracks in the canvas or the dim lighting in the room.” Catch his full address here. | His teaching relates to our episode with David Snell on Elder Brown’s “The Eternal Gift of Testimony.”

For you overachievers, the following resources might also pique your interest!

Elder Bednar | What "Be Ye Therefore Perfect" Really Means—helpful apple analogy to understand that perfection = completeness.

Elder Andersen | "Let These Things Trouble You No More"—good option if you want a 5-min video to help you teach on his Oct. 2025 conference talk.

Elder Kearon | New Beginnings through Jesus Christ—the church media team does a great job with conference talk excerpts like this one, adding peaceful music and relevant video, making this a great option for teaching the core of Elder Kearon’s talk at home or church in 5 minutes. We’ve also got many more resources for this talk here.

Elder Caussé | Bridging Cultures: Elder Caussé and the Power of Global Unity—Short video of his French pioneer family and his children’s difficult choice between following their parents to Utah or remaining in France without them. Learn more about this great family in our interview with Dr. Carter Charles. | In another excerpt from his Logan, UT Institute dedication, he taught that The Lord will give us everything we need to return home to Him.

Reach out and we'll see whether it's a good fit. Clay and Mitch are volunteers dedicated to creating free, faith-building content. It's a labor of love that we treat like a missionary calling, but expenses add up and the time commitment is VERY high. We've got BIG ideas for increasing our reach, improving video quality, and creating useful products for busy Latter-day Saints.

If you, someone you know, or an organization you're aware of are interested in supporting GCA and helping us grow, please email us. We'd love to talk!
