Hello, Doer of the word!

*If you’d like to volunteer in helping us encourage more people to take action on inspired invitations from prophets and apostles, please reply to this email and let us know.*

Welcome to General Conference+!

GC+ is a special weekly edition of the GCA newsletter, saving you hours of work by bringing you messages from the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles found anywhere outside of Conference. We look at social media, magazines, devotionals, temple dedications, YouTube, press releases, and more to identify meaningful resources that you won't want to miss.

Note that the Church cross-posts both long videos and shorter excerpts of the same content on multiple platforms. We’ll feature only one instance of a resource if it appeared in multiple places. Social media links will be to Instagram, though you can easily find the same thing on Facebook, X, or as a YouTube Short if you prefer.

Find a resource that inspires you, check out the linked source, and share it with someone you love. Here we go!

Last Week’s Best Resources

President Jeffrey R. Holland's funeral. I'm going to miss this mighty Apostle of Jesus Christ! The full funeral (YouTube) is fantastic - all three of President Holland's children spoke, in addition to President Dallin H. Oaks. However, the Church has also provided a number of other options for consuming President Holland's funeral and interment services: Video Collage of President Holland's Apostolic Service (Social Media) | Funeral Recap (YouTube) | Interment Recap (YouTube) | Funeral Recap (Press Release) | Interment Recap (Press Release).

Elder David A. Bednar (For the Strength of Youth | Insights from the Apostles | Liahona): There were two plans presented in the premortal council, right? The Savior's plan and Lucifer's plan? Well, not according to Elder Bednar (and not according to the scriptures). Elder Bednar reinforces the truth that there was just one plan presented - the Father's plan - in these three linked resources. Be sure to speak up in Sunday School if someone says something about two plans being presented!

I've often heard it expressed that in the premortal council, two plans were presented - that Jesus presented a plan and that Lucifer presented a plan. But I don't find that in these verses. What we have is the Eternal Father presenting His plan. It is important to recognize that Lucifer did not present his plan, he rebelled against the Father's plan. You learn a great deal about the adversary through that very act of rebellion in pre-mortality.

Elder David A. Bednar, They Who Keep Their First Estate Shall be Added Upon, Insights from the Apostles

In February 2025, President Dallin H. Oaks shared an Easter message (YouTube) from the First Presidency. Last week, the Church reposted a quote (social media) from that video: "As we enter this new year, let us prepare for an Easter celebration of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, culminating in His Resurrection—the most glorious event in history." Easter Sunday (April 5, 2026) is 89 days away. How have you started preparing for this important holiday?

Extra Credit

For you overachievers, the following resources might also pique your interest!

Elders Andersen, Rasband, and Renlund posted touching tributes to President Holland on social media, the Church repurposed the new First Presidency's recent interview into a Q&A for youth in For the Strength of Youth, and Elder Gerrit W. Gong answers the important question: "How can I become my best self and live my best life?"

Reach out and we'll see whether it's a good fit. Clay and Mitch volunteer countless hours to create free, faith-building content. It's a labor of love that we treat like a missionary calling, but expenses don't pay themselves. We've got BIG ideas for increasing our reach, improving video quality, and creating useful products, but our time is limited by professional obligations and the cost of upgrading software and video equipment isn't yet justifiable.

If you, someone you know, or an organization you're aware of are interested in supporting GCA and helping us grow, please email us. We'd love to talk!
