Hello, Doer of the word!

Welcome to General Conference+!

GC+ is a highlight reel of messages from the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles they shared anywhere outside of Conference last week. We look at social media, magazines, devotionals, temple dedications, YouTube, press releases, and more to find the latest inspiring and important teachings you won't want to miss.

The Church cross-posts the same content on multiple platforms. We’ll link to only one instance of each resource, usually via Instagram or YouTube, but you can easily find the same thing on Facebook or X, if you prefer.

Find a resource that inspires you and share it with someone. Here we go!

Our Favorites from Last Week

Elder Neil L. Andersen delivered a powerful BYU-Idaho Devotional address on Sunday, February 22, 2026, entitled President Dallin H. Oaks and the Law of Witnesses. There is so much I could share about this address. In addition to reading or watching the full address here, you can read a summary on the Church News and on social media, or listen to the address as a podcast (Apple Podcasts). Here is one powerful quote:

  • "President Oaks began one part of his message by saying, 'I feel to emphasize the warning President Russell M. Nelson issued us.' This warning was given in April 2018, President Nelson's first general conference address after becoming the President of the Church. He spoke of the condition of our world with the very solemn warning that was repeated by President Oaks 12 days ago … : 'In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.' Today, these powerful words stand as two bookends—April 1, 2018 and February 10, 2026—now having been spoken by two beloved prophets of God. In the past eight years, this serious warning has been repeated 13 times in general conference including five times by members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve. They have been spoken 19 times in BYU-Idaho devotionals. … Nearly 30 years ago, President Henry B. Eyring, who was then a member of the Quorum of the Twelve, said something in general conference that I have not forgotten. He said, 'One of the ways we may know that the warning is from the Lord is that the law of witnesses, authorized witnesses, has been invoked. When the words of prophets seem repetitive, that should rivet our attention and fill our hearts with gratitude to live in such a blessed time.'"

Elder Clark G. Gilbert and his wife, Sister Christine Gilbert, were featured on episode 282 of the Church News Podcast (Amazon Music | Apple Podcasts | Spotify | YouTube | Summary). This is a wonderful addition to GCA podcast S6 E58 - see our newsletter and all the relevant links here. Similar to Elder Andersen's BYU-Idaho Devotional address, Elder Gilbert shared his thoughts on President Oaks' February 10, 2026, BYU Devotional. He also shared insights on why President Oaks changed his message from a commemoration of the sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) of BYU to the message that our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ asked him to deliver.

The First Presidency shared their 2026 Easter Message (Church News | Newsroom | Social Media) which included an important invitation and promise for disciples of Jesus Christ: "We invite each of you during this Easter season to 'seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written' (Ether 12:41). As you do so, we testify that your Easter celebrations can strengthen your own faith and testimony that 'death is conquered; man is free. Christ has won the victory' ("He Is Risen!," Hymns, no. 199)."

Extra Credit

For you overachievers, the following resources might also pique your interest!

President Dieter F. Uchtdorf (social media) sat down, one-on-one, with BYU-Hawaii students and expressed his love for them. Elder Dale G. Renlund (Church News | Newsroom), ministering in Romania, taught by example how we should interact with those who have different beliefs from us: "Dialogue and understanding between faiths can help strengthen communities and foster trust." Elder Ulisses Soares (social media) connected with a Brazilian family who were members of the Church, in part, because of a Book of Mormon that a young Ulisses Soares had given to the grandparents of the mother of the family. Elder Gérald Caussé (social media) visited the home of a family in France for whom he served as a home teacher (ministering brother) many years ago. Elder Caussé's visit to this family as well as to other Church members in France (Newsroom | YouTube) is best summarized by something he said that his wife, Sister Valérie Caussé, said to him: "Valérie pointed out to me that it is part of my role as an Apostle to express kindness in the name of Jesus Christ. It's not simply about giving speeches, but also about having the same kind of contact Christ had with each person individually." (Bonus: It was also fun to watch Elder Caussé play and discuss a new Easter hymn. YouTube)
