When 12-year-old Jesus was found by His parents teaching in the temple, He told them that He had been "about [His] Father's business." And we can be too. Every calling, whatever it may be, is "His business" when embraced with a humble and willing heart and a desire to lift and comfort His children and share His good news. We are not merely filling an assignment when we respond to an inspired call but joining the Saviour of the world in His infinite, redeeming work. He needs you, and He needs me.

Listening to President Oaks can lift our souls, but taking deliberate steps to follow his counsel can change our lives.
[President Dallin H. Oaks] "I feel to emphasize the warning President Russell M. Nelson issued us that 'in coming days it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, comforting, and constant influences of the Holy Ghost.' One of the many reasons you will need the constant influence of the Holy Ghost is that you live in a season where the adversary has become so effective at disguising truth that if you don't have the Holy Ghost, you will be deceived."
[Elder Andersen] This warning was given in April 2018, President Nelson's first general conference address after becoming the President of the Church. In the past eight years, this serious warning has been repeated 13 times in general conference, including five times by members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve. They have been spoken 19 times in BYU-Idaho devotionals.
Nearly 30 years ago, President Henry B. Eyring, who was then a member of the Quorum of the Twelve, said something in general conference that I have not forgotten. Here's what he said.
[Elder Henry B. Eyring] "One of the ways we may know that the warning is from the Lord is that the law of witnesses, authorized witnesses, has been invoked. When the words of prophets seem repetitive, that should rivet our attention and fill our hearts with gratitude to live in such a blessed time."

What does it mean to be "valiant in the testimony of Jesus"? Surely this includes keeping his commandments and serving him. But wouldn't it also include bearing witness of Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Redeemer, to believers and nonbelievers alike? … To those who are devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ, I say there has never been a greater need for us to profess our faith, privately and publicly.
