Hello, Doer of the word! Welcome to General Conference+!
GC+ is a special weekly edition of the GCA newsletter, saving you hours of work by bringing you messages from the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles found anywhere outside of Conference. We look at social media, magazines, devotionals, temple dedications, YouTube, press releases, and more to identify meaningful resources that you won't want to miss.
Note that the Church cross-posts both long videos and shorter excerpts of the same content on multiple platforms. We’ll feature only one instance of a resource if it appeared in multiple places. Social media links will be to Instagram, though you can easily find the same thing on Facebook, X, or as a YouTube Short if you prefer.
Find a resource that inspires you, check out the linked source, and share it with someone you love. Here we go!
Last Week’s Best Resources
First Presidency | "[G]eneral conference will no longer include a Saturday evening session" (Instagram). As you can imagine, we're curious how this will impact the next season of GCA! Also, "effective immediately, young women who choose to serve a full-time mission may begin their service at age 18 following graduation from high school or its equivalent" (Instagram). Even though the minimum age requirement (18) is now the same for men and women, the length of service (24 months for men and 18 months for women) has remained the same. Here's why (YouTube)!
President Henry B. Eyring | YouTube | "With God's Help, Struggles Make Us Strong". This is a great resource to utilize in a lesson focused on President Eyring's October 2025 General Conference address! If you're looking for additional resources, check out our podcast episodes and newsletter (especially the free PDF handout).
Elder Neil L. Andersen | Has an Apostle ever visited your home? Or sat in a small group with you and answered your questions? Well, the fortunate Latter-day Saints in these two videos (Beyond the Pulpit: Elder Andersen Ministers in Mongolia | My Q&A with Young Adults in the Philippines) can answer 'Yes!' What an opportunity!
Extra Credit
For you over achievers, the following resources might also pique your interest!
Elder David A. Bednar's interfaith dialogue in Abu Dhabi, UAE (Newsroom; I want to read the pamphlet "Muslims and Latter-day Saints: Beliefs, Values, and Lifestyles" that is referenced in this article), Elder Quentin L. Cook's invitation to gain and maintain a testimony by immersing ourselves in the Book of Mormon (Instagram), Elder Dale G. Renlund's counsel on what to do when we can't help everyone (Instagram), and Elder Gérald and Sister Valérie Caussé's testimonies of Jesus Christ (Instagram).
